Family is what everything
is about, right? Well, to
me its one of the most
important aspects of my
life. On the weekend of
Friday September 26 to
Sunday September 28 my
Mom, Dad, Brother, and I
all sacrificed six hours
of our life to drive up to
Lubbock, TX. My older sister who is a junior in college at Texas Tech invited
us to come see her. Driving up I got comfortable in my seat in the car with my
blanket, mini pig pillow pet, phone, and earbuds. What got me through the
long car drive with out being completely bored was listening to the fourth
book of one of my favorite series. The book was, "Fallen Heir" by Erin Watt.
We stopped by a couple of gas stations and finally landed in Lubbock. The rest
of the night was spending time with my sister and waiting an hour and a half for
our food to come out. And I didn't even like the food that I ordered so I got
handouts from my family. A complete bust. The next day was game day. My
sister was dying for us to go tailgating. But, just like the dinner the night before
it was a complete bust! Guessing all of the parents wanted to go to the stadium
instead. The game was hot and my family only lasted till half time but in the
mean time we got some great photos like the one above. My favorite part of
the day was the piano bar at night. The piano bar was where four men two
would partner together and go on stage together and they would sing,
play piano, make dirty jokes, and be all around funny. It was the most fun
I had had in the past weeks. After all anything can be fun when I am with my
sister. Ending the trip we said our goodbyes without crying but wishing it was,
Thanksgiving.
